A Bit About Me

My childhood was full of verbal, emotional and sexual abuse until I was 18 yrs. old. My family was very dysfunctional and themselves victims of childhood abuse. We were all caught in a cycle of abuse.

My adult life was filled with so much self-loathing, low self-esteem and denial. I tried to find love in all the wrong people and got pregnant on my 21st birthday. I denied the abuse was real until I hit 30 and then the night terrors memories came back. So, I started self-medicating, first with alcohol and then Crack. I ended up addicted to Crack, lost my job, lost my apartment, ended up homeless and had to give my son to my dysfunctional mother.

I ended up going to rehab and getting my life back on track. I learned to face the abuse that happened to me and started journaling. My journaling turned into my first autobiography book called “BLACK FAMILY LIES”. I then wrote a 2nd book called "ASHLEY TERRACE MURDER", about an codependent relationship turned deadly. I became an activist for child abuse and domestic violence. I started a radio talk show, a local access TV talk show and created short films all dealing with abuse issues. I was starting to work on a feature film about my life but then COVID-19 happened.

I changed my focus to help the many people are still suffering in silence because of the increase of domestic violence. My focus was on using my experience and additional education to help other who are lost due to the abuse. Now, I am a certified Life Coach with focus on Women Empowerment and Trauma.
